- ➤ Longview Council is debating whether to remove a proposal to rename a road after Charlie Kirk—if passed, the resolution would give the city the distinction of being the first in the country to honor him. The Daily News Longview
- ➤ Longview will flush water mains today in several neighborhoods. After the flushing ends — the city advises residents to run water through an outside hose spigot or fill a bathtub before using it to drink or wash clothes. The Daily News Longview
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Two groups linked to a for-profit mental health provider plan to open new Longview facilities—Emerald City Development Fund will open a 16-bed center at 1826 First Ave to help patients transition after hospital care while Emerald City Behavioral Health will build a larger center offering inpatient and outpatient services funded by Medicaid, with outpatient care starting in January and full care in two years.
