Good morning, Longview.

Longview Public Library will host a community baby shower where families will receive a free book bag (courtesy of the Friends of the Longview Library) and a board book (given to each family).

Longview will host the Extreme Machines event featuring live displays of heavy equipment and interactive demos.

More details on the schedule and location will be released soon—local groups are eager to attend.

Longview said the only applicant to take over HOPE Village did not meet the requirements—Salvation Army will end its contract as it is not a licensed behavioral health agency, and the tiny home shelter will close temporarily on Oct.
