GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Longview City Council will review proposals on Tuesday to lift certain PeaceHealth tax exemptions that could generate hundreds of thousands per year, while Mayor Spencer Boudreau is considering using back tax funds to issue rebate checks and fund repairs on roads and parks. City staff will present a timeline for the proposed changes in October with new ordinances expected to take effect on Jan. 1.  The Daily News Longview
