Good morning, Longview.

Work has resumed on the Port of Longview's rail expansion project after a stop-work order was lifted on June 18 following revisions to Rotschy’s safety plan—commissioners approved an emergency contract to fast-track hiring an independent safety monitor while local officials review stricter bidder criteria for future projects. The decision comes amid concerns over past safety violations and potential child labor law issues.
